FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in investigating nonrecurrent fast physical processes using a high-speed photochronographic recorder with mirror scanning. The device has a source of modulated optical radiation and an optical element with a mirror surface, optical fibre and a worm-and-worm pair. The source of modulated optical radiation is optically connected to the entrance end of the optical fibre, the opposite end of which is fastened to the worm-and-worm pair on an axis which passes through the optical element with a mirror surface. The optical element with a mirror surface is placed tightly to the surface of the output lens of the photochronographic recorder at a distance from the emitting end of the optical fibre which is equal to the distance from the intermediate image of the investigated object in the photochronographic recorder to the surface of the output lens of the photochronographic recorder.

EFFECT: larger volume of information which can be recorded by a photodetector while simultaneously recording information from the analysed object and time stamps, as well as enabling use of a standard slit unit which is part a high-speed photochronographic recorder.
