FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method and a system for hot reserve multiplexing, in which many multiplexors simultaneously input data of one and the same multitude of services into a switchboard; the switchboard analyses the service as a data block for assessment of service quality on the basis of data of multiple services from different multiplexors in accordance with the configured policy of switching, and selects data of multiple services of the multiplexor with best general estimate of quality as active output data in accordance with the result of quality estimation, and data of multiple services of other multiplexors - as reserve output data; and also replaces, in process of service analysis as a data block, data of the service with low quality estimate in the specified active output data for data of the service with high quality estimate from the specified reserve output data, and then performs output of replaced active output data.

EFFECT: simplified realisation and reduced complexity of software and hardware, a switching function is realised without establishment of communication between multiplexors or between multiplexors and a switchboard.
