FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: for every on or off switching of a high-voltage switch, the value of the used up life is summed with a cumulative sum, the value of the used up life being calculated using mathematical expressions given in paragraphs 1-3 of the claim. The method does not require installing additional equipment and is reduced to the order of handling data that can be obtained from relay (dispatcher) services and/or from emergency events recorders.
EFFECT: cheap and simple technique of determining the remaining life of high-voltage switches.
