SUBSTANCE: method includes detecting a medical implant communication service (MICS) channel by an MICS transceiver in the coordinator device. The method also includes sending a signal, indicative of a wake-up process, in a non-MICS channel to an implant device and a command signal, indicative of joining a piconet, by the MICS transceiver to an implant device. Further, the method also includes receiving an acknowledgement signal by the MICS transceiver of the coordinator device based on the sending of the command signal to the implant device. The acknowledgement signal comprises a security control field. Furthermore, the method includes initiating security procedures based on the security control field. Further, the method also includes exchanging data between the coordinator device and the implant device based on the initiating and disconnecting the implant device by sending a command message.
EFFECT: providing flexible management of a body area network, longer service life of implants.
