SUBSTANCE: detection unit determines that the first identifier of a cell connected with the first conflicting cell, is identical with the identifier of the second cell, connected with the second conflicting cell. One cell is selected from the first and second conflicting cells for variation of the cell identifier. A different cell identifier is determined for the selected cell. The different cell identifier is then provided to other cells and preferably to user equipment terminals (UE) without break of the continuing link of UE.
EFFECT: achievement of the technical result in the form of resolution of conflict situations-conflicts of cell identifiers in a cellular radio network.
