SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive speed control means. Proposed module to define preset speeds vref for vehicle control system comprises input device for drive to load required speed vset into processor. Proposed module comprises horizon unit an processor unit. Processor unit is designed to compute vref for vehicle control system so that vref varies in the range limited by Vmin and vmax, where vmin≤vset≤vmax. Note here that control system controls the vehicle in compliance with said preset values.
