FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control over transport facilities. Proposed method includes the steps whereat horizon is defined with the help of positioning data and route map data; threshold magnitudes for road section description are calculated in compliance with one or more magnitudes, and comparison of the gradient of every section. For each category of road section indicating steep ascent or steep descent proposed method comprises computation of the vehicle final speed after the section end. In case designed final speed falls beyond the preset range, input speed is corrected on the basis of designed final speed to adjust vehicle speed in compliance with preset speed values for every section. Proposed module comprises horizon unit and processor unit. Processor unit computes threshold values for section gradients, compares gradient of every section with threshold values, computes vehicle final speed and corrects input speed for given section.
EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption at undulating ground.
