FIELD: motor industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to automotive industry. Method for economical cruise control consists in that adjustment of reference speed vref is allowed when reference speed vref differs from set speed vset. Adjustment is based on input from a user of said economical cruise control, wherein input affects reference speed vref. System for economic cruise control is configured to require from vehicle engine system reference speed vref, which can differ from selected set speed vset. System comprises control unit configured to enable adjustment of reference speed vref.
EFFECT: possibility of vehicle with a given constant speed.
