SUBSTANCE: subject of the present invention is a protective device for vessels for beverages in general, in particular for plastic, paper, cardboard and other disposable cups, which comprises a ring 1 having an outer side wall 4 and an inner side wall 3 which are connected to each other by the upper jumper 5 of the corresponding shape to form an annular area 6, due to which the ring 1 can be put on the upper edge 8 of the said cup and removed from it to protect the cup from external contamination.
