FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a complex of copper with 5,5-dimethyl-1,3-cyclohexanedione of formula CuL2, where L is 5,5-dimethyl-1,3-cyclohexanedione. The method involves preparation of a solution of 5,5-dimethyl-1,3-cyclohexanedione and lithium chloride in ethyl alcohol in ratio of 5:0.5:100, electrolysis of the obtained solution with copper electrodes, separating the obtained precipitate, washing the precipitate and drying the precipitate. Electrolysis is carried out using pulsed electric current with pulse duration of 5 s and current density of 2-4 mA/cm2.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain said complex, which can be used to make high-temperature superconductors, catalysts and stabilisers.
