FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises valve timing mechanism to convert timing phases in variable and intermediate interlocking mechanism to lock timing phases in appropriate position apart from maximum lag and maximum advance positions. Proposed device terminates engine operation in discontinuous manner. But it does not when working range of timing mechanism is limited by the range at lad side relative to position of intermediate interlocking.
EFFECT: ruled out engine restart prevention after interrupted shutdown.
