FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: device for an internal combustion engine with direct injection comprises at least one high pressure pump made as capable of connection to the internal combustion engine, for direct injection of fuel, at least two fuel storages for the first fuel and the second fuel, in particular, liquefied gas and gasoline, accordingly, and also two pipelines stretching from fuel storages to the inlet of the high pressure pump for supply of fuel to the specified pump, besides, pipelines are equipped with check valves, and in the pipeline of gasoline supply there is a distribution valve installed via a check valve. At the same time the specified device for the second version comprises at least two fuel storages for storage of the first LNG fuel and storage of the second liquid fuel, and also two pipelines stretching from fuel storages to the inlet of the high pressure pump, for supply of fuels to the specified pump. Pipelines are equipped with check valves, and the specified device is equipped with a unit of cleaning for cleaning of a fuel line connected with the high pressure pump. The method for alternate injection of two types of fuel includes provision of the storage of the first LNG fuel and storage of the second liquid fuel, switching between fuels by means of alternate fuel supply to the high-pressure pump, higher pressure of supplied fuel and subsequent fuel injection into the internal combustion engine. Switching from the LNG fuel to liquid fuel starts cleaning of fuel supplied to the high pressure pump, besides, the cleaning operation includes balancing of supplied fuel pressure.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create a device and a method, where two types of fuel may be used, which may operate reliably, in particular, provide for or improve switching between two types of fuel.
