FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: device and method for an internal combustion engine (ICE) with direct fuel injection running on two types of fuel are proposed. A high pressure pump (10) is connected to ICE and guide-distributor for direct fuel injection. At least two fuel storages (21, 27) holding gasoline andcondensed gas are provided. The device provides switching from one fuel to another. Switching occurs by treating fuel from the high pressure pump (10) and from fuel supply line connected to it by a temporary accumulation of the fuel in a treatment unit (28). The treatment unit (28) is positioned for treating the high pressure pump (10), pushing the prevailing fuel in such a way and displacing it with new fuel.
EFFECT: increased reliability of the fuel supply system when switching from condensed gas to liquid fuel injection.
