FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: pipeline section in a ravine with cross oriented defects is opened to 4.5-5 (7-7.5) hours of the pipe cross section in clock coordinates. According to the ascending in sections having cross oriented defects there made are mines. Insulation is removed from the pipeline and defects are identified. Defects are repaired by controlled polishing and remaining life time is evaluated. At remaining life time of more than 15 years the pipeline is isolated in repair places; a pneumatic jack is installed in the mine zone in the middle of the section of the pipeline separation from a bed and rising force is created; after that, space between lower generatrix of the pipeline and the bed of compacted soil is filled with sand, for example river sand. As far as bridges are formed of sand intermediate layers, mine zones are filled with sand too; after that, repaired section of the pipeline is filled with soil from the dump.
EFFECT: reducing probable formation of transverse corrosion cracking under stress.
