SUBSTANCE: invention relates to main pipelines operation, particularly to operation of pipelines potentially hazardous sections (PHS), containing cold bending branches (CBB) with off-design level of stressed-strain state (SSS).

EFFECT: invention comprises determining the PHS with beyond-design level of SSS, consisting in calculation assessment of bending stress according to in-line inspection (ILI), which measures radii of elastic bending of the pipeline during passaging a pig along the route.
