SUBSTANCE: invention discloses, in a particular, a method of implementing mirroring in routers, including setting a remote mirror port in a source router, establishing a corresponding virtual interface of a second layer for said port, and designating, for the virtual interface of the second layer, mirror data streams and the corresponding physical output port; in the destination router, establishing the virtual interface of the second layer which corresponds to the virtual interface of the second layer of the source router; forming a virtual private wire service tunnel between the virtual interfaces of the second layer of the source router and the destination router; after receiving messages in the remote mirror port of the source router, selecting mirroring data streams from the messages and transmitting the received mirror messages from the physical output port of the source router to the destination router; after receiving the mirror messages, the destination router searches its virtual interface of the second layer, and transmits the mirror messages without labels to a monitoring port, so that mirroring of router traffic is enabled.
EFFECT: monitoring traffic in various locations.
