FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of friction elements of brake plates for aircraft and surface vehicles. Proposed method comprises cutting of carbon fiber to preset lengths with feeding voltage from power source to cutting tool working element, dosed feed of fiber lengths along with binder into mixing chamber forming section with earthed bottom, mixing and blank forming from obtained mix. Proposed unit comprises carbon fiber cutter, binder feeder and mixing chamber. Note here that cutter working element comprises at least one blade and is connected to DC source while mixing chamber comprises forming section with earthed bottom.

EFFECT: high mechanical and operating properties.
