FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Knee joint orthosis for directing patient's patella in transition of knee joint from extended position into flexed position and vice versa, contains fixing device for fixation of hip and shin, at least, one laterally located, perceiving knee joint flexion stabilising element for adjoining hip and ankle, and held in position by means of system of tension tapes, stable in shape guide element, which is intended for lateral adjoining patella by means of lateral base part, from which medially directed extension pieces pass proximally and distally from patella and are fixed by means of tape sections on orthrosis in the area of hip and shin in such a way that medial traction acts on extension pieces. Tape sections are made elastic. Elastic tape, with elasticity higher than elasticity of tape sections, passing laterally and allowing lateral displacement of base part, is connected with base part. Elasticity of medially passing tape sections, on one side, and laterally passing tape, on the other side, is selected in such a way, that when knee joint is flexed from extended position, first stretched in, at least, completely prevailing way is laterally passing tape. Provided is limiter of stretching for laterally passing tape, which acts at specified maximal angle of knee joint flexion, in such a way that for greater flexion of knee joint, medially passing tape section stretch in, at least, prevailing way.

EFFECT: invention ensures reliable direction of patella in flexion and extension of knee joint and has improved wearing properties.
