FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves afterburning of carbon and hydrogen, cooling of steam-dust-gas flows, utilisation of dust products and condensates in a slag collector and transportation of cooled steam-dust-gas flow to a sleeve filter. A gas duct consists of four adjacent sections, the first one of which is bent and includes air-water atomisers installed at the beginning and spraying water with dispersity of not more than 100 mcm. The second section includes air-water atomisers installed at an angle of 40° to steam-dust-gas flow. The third section is a slag collector and made in the form of a parallelepiped, the upper half of which is water-cooled, and lower half is concrete, and the fourth section attaches the slag collector to the sleeve filter and is not water-cooled and has heat insulation.
EFFECT: stable operation of a gas duct and failure-free operation of a gas cleaning system.
