SUBSTANCE: thrombin as a component C4 activator is sorbed in micropanel wells; a sample containing a human complement component C4 of unknown activity is introduced; that is followed by incubation with EDTA added; an enzyme and human anti-complement component C4 antibody conjugate and a substrate thereof are introduced; activity of the component C4 is estimated by the amount of the formed enzymatic reaction product. A kit for assay of functional activity of the human complement component C4 contains a flat-bottomed microplate with sorbed thrombin, the enzyme and human anti-complement component C4 antibody conjugate, the substrate buffer and donor blood serum of known C4 activity as a reference.
EFFECT: group of invention enables estimating functional activity of the component C4 of the human complement system and possesses good reproducibility and no need for activation of the whole complement system.
