FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: radiation is detected in two adjacent differential channels lying at different slopes of the reference peak; average pulse repetition frequencies in the first and second differential channels are compared and the comparison results are used to generate a control signal for correcting the transfer constant of the detecting channel; further, dimensions of the scintillator are selected such that muons of secondary cosmic radiation passing through it at the most probable path length leave energy EmaxP, which exceeds the maximum energy of detected gamma-quanta from the measured and background radiation, and said two adjacent differential channels are predetermined such that EmaxP is in one of them.
EFFECT: high stability and reliability of stabilisation.
