FIELD: automotive industry.

SUBSTANCE: method under first and second option means that the internal-combustion engine connection to or disconnection from the traction wheels is determined, first gear for speeding up is selected and switched on, and acceleration of the hybrid electric vehicle using the motor is selected. First option method ensures completion of the first drive control sequence without change of the gear ration. After detection of the first drive control sequence, and absence of the gear change-over the gear selected for seeding up is switched to higher gear. Under second option method the discharge of the power source during first drive control sequence is registered. After detection of the first drive control sequence, and exceedance of the limit power level the selected gear is changed similarly to the first option. The hybrid electric vehicle under first and second options comprises the internal-combustion engine, motor/generator, transmission, control unit. The control unit ensures operations of the above mentioned methods. The control unit is provided with memory. Memory is used to store software ensuring the above mentioned actions execution by the control unit.

EFFECT: efficiency increasing of the hybrid electric vehicle.
