FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: reactor is designed as partitioned reservoir, it includes anode and cathode zones arranged in one reservoir and separated by ion exchange membrane, where cathode zones are introduced into anode zone through square holes in upper cover of reactor, so that each cathode zone is arranged between two plates of anode electrodes; sections are formed by flat partitions with holes arranged at minimum distance from upper cover of reactor for flow of liquid phase; anode electrodes are a bundle from thin carbon fibre reeled on frame in the form of parallelepiped with formation of four surfaces from fibre and four inner channels for passing of liquid phase, and cathode electrodes are air cathodes with controlled supply of minimum quantity of cathode electrolyte for generation of liquid film on the surface of cathode electrode.
EFFECT: increasing level of generated current, reducing element prime cost, reducing operation energy consumption of bioelectrochemical reactor.
