FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fritting of glassware. Proposed method comprises heating, curing, slow and fast cooling and cooling to a room temperature. Heating, curing and cooling are performed in convective air flows divided inside the furnace in temperature zones created by heat curtains formed by oncoming air flows from adjacent zones by forced draft. Heating is realised in two steps. At first step, heating is carried out to 500°C for 160 s, at second step to 650°C for 500 s with maintaining of maximum tolerable residual and temporary strains in glassware. Curing is performed for 130 s with gradual cooling to 600-500°C with maintaining of maximum tolerable residual and temporary strains in glassware Gradual cooling is performed to 300-250°C for 770 s. Fast cooling is conducted by diversion of a portion of hot air with simultaneous blowing by atmospheric air to 100-50°C for 240 s. Cooling to room temperature is performed by forced blowing with atmospheric air for 600 s.
EFFECT: higher furnace efficiency, fast annealing and high quality of glassware.
