FIELD: heat; ventilation; ovens and plates.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of microchannel plates. First, prior to heating, block of unattached blanks of microchannel plates is vertically laid in quartz cassette and placed in muffle furnace. Heating in furnace is performed to temperature of 455–485 °C is held at this temperature for 20–70 minutes and cooled in air to room temperature.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in mechanical strength of microchannel blanks, which enables to eliminate their crack at subsequent stage of corona etching, and also significantly reduces deflection of microchannel plates.
