FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: device includes a melting pot that is at least partially enveloped at least with one inductance coil, a measuring device for direct measurement, indirect measurement and their combination, at least of one electrical parameter chosen from the group consisting of current, voltage, consumed power and frequency; with that, one electrical parameter is used for partial determination of load resistance in the area at least partially enveloped with the inductance coil, specific resistance of material, temperature of material, fraction of solid phase of material, fraction of liquid phase of material and their combination. One ore more inductance coils have the possibility of generating variable power and/ore magnetic field of variable frequency, which can be modulated to control the cooling of molten metal loading in the melting pot from liquidus temperature to the chosen enthalpy, resistance and/or viscosity.
EFFECT: invention allows active control of semisolid state of metal by supplying induction power by means of an analysis in real time or out of real time of feedback electric signals that are received from inductance coils.
