FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: methods consists in solid-phase extraction of remains of a burnt material and separating remains of combustion enhancers at the scene of a fire. A micro-nanoporous polymer material is used. Its sorption functions are used to collect a sample. Remains are analysed by measuring fluorescence intensity from the surface of said sorbent, e.g. using a portable fluorimeter. Luminescence intensity is measured at excitation wavelength of 250-350 nm. The sorbent used is plates made from micro-nanoporous polyethylene with overall porosity of about 40%, specific surface area of about 41 m/g and size of through-channels of 180-520 nm.
EFFECT: invention enables more accurate determination of the type and composition of combustion enhancers.
