SURGICAL INSTRUMENT COMPRISING SYSTEMS FOR ENSURING PROPER SEQUENTIAL OPERATION OF A SURGICAL INSTRUMENT Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/72

Abstract RU 2721286 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: surgical stapling apparatus for treating patient's tissue according to the first version comprises a handle, a rod passing from said handle and an end effector. End effector extends from said rod. End effector is configured to change configuration into open configuration and closed configuration. Said end effector comprises a first branch, a second branch, a cartridge body, a bracket, a stop, a closing system, starting system and means for preventing return of said end effector into said open configuration until said retraction stroke is completed. Second jaw is movable to said first jaw to transfer said end effector to said closed configuration. Cartridge body includes recesses for staples. Staples are stored with possibility of removal in said cavities for brackets. Anvil is configured to deform said staples. Closing system is configured to move said second branch to said first jaw. Starting system comprises start-up pusher and cutting element, made with possibility of cutting fabric during cutting stroke and retraction of said cutting element during retraction stroke. Start-up pusher is configured to push said staples from said staple grooves to said stop during inrush stroke. Surgical stapling apparatus for treating patient's tissue according to the second version comprises a handle, a rod extending from said handle and an end effector extending from said rod. Said end effector is configured to change configuration into open configuration and closed configuration. Said end effector comprises a first branch, a second branch, a cartridge body, brackets, a stop, a closing system and a trigger system. Second jaw is movable to said first jaw while accommodating said end effector to said closed configuration. Cartridge body includes recesses for staples. Staples are stored with possibility of removal in said cavities for brackets. Anvil is configured to deform said staples. Closing system is configured to move said second branch to said first jaw. Starting system comprises staple extractor, cutting element and means to prevent retraction of said staple extractor, while said cutting element extends. Said starting system is configured to eject said staple extractor to said stop during inrush stroke and retract said staple ejector during retraction stroke. Splitting element is configured to cut the fabric during the cutting stroke, wherein said cutting member comprises a cutting edge that extends from said cartridge body during said cutting stroke. Surgical stapling apparatus for treating patient's tissue according to the third version comprises a handle, a rod extending from said handle, and an end effector extending from said rod. Said end effector is configured to change configuration into open configuration and closed configuration. Said end effector comprises a first branch, a second branch, a cartridge body, brackets, a stop, a tissue pin, a closure system, a drive for a tissue pin, a trigger system and a means of preventing retraction of said tissue pin. Said second jaw is movable to said first jaw with said end effector arranged in said closed configuration. Cartridge body includes recesses for staples. Staples are stored with possibility of removal in said cavities for brackets. Anvil is configured to deform said staples. Tissue pin is movable between the position withdrawn from the working position and the position put into working position. Said tissue pin is configured to grip the tissue in said end effector. Closing system is configured to move said second branch to said first jaw. Drive for tissue pin is configured to move said tissue pin between said inactivated position and said actuated position during withdrawal stroke from working state and retraction of said tissue pin into said position withdrawn from working position during retraction stroke. Starting system comprises a staple extractor, a cutting element and a device for preventing retraction of the above tissue pin, while the said cutting element extends. Said starting system is configured to eject said staple extractor to said stop during inrush stroke. Splitting element is configured to cut tissue during cutting stroke. Said cutting element comprises a cutting edge that extends from said cartridge body during said cutting stroke.

EFFECT: inventions provide proper sequence of surgical instrument operation.
