FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Mould comprises central part composed of inner and outer pipes arranged to make a circular clearance for coolant circulation and outer part. Initial stock is fed into said mould and heated to produce the melt. Mould central part is displaced gradually together with cast material relative to aforesaid outer part. Initial stock gets cooled to make a hollow metal billet. Outer pipe may stay with moulded billet for further machining.
EFFECT: higher quality and precision.
