FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, particularly, to making of submarine strong hull. Cylindrical shell of submarine hull is formed of glass layer lined with metal coating composed of outer, inner and end facings with thermal expansion factor exceeding that of glass. Said metal coating composed and outer, inner and end facings are fitted in split mould to be heated to temperature of efficient moulding of outer glass layer and placed in centrifuge. Centrifuge is switched on to feed glass melt onto outer metal facing to form outer glass layer. Then, foam glass layer is applied by centrifuge on outer glass layer and foamed to make foam glass layer by said centrifuge. Glass melt is applied on formed foam glass layer to make glass inner layer. Then glass layer temperature is decreased to the level necessary for its diffusion welding with metal facing to feed metal melt on to said glass layer to form inner metal facing of the shell by centrifuge. Cylinder shell temperature is decreased to glass layer vitrification temperature to switch off the centrifuge. Cylinder shell is annealed to complete relaxation of stress and glass layer stabilisation. Now cylindrical shell in split mould is cooled to ambient temperature to withdraw the shell from the mould.
