FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to production long-length articles from powders of plasticised polymers by extrusion. Proposed method comprises moulding of workpiece and its extrusion through round channel at inlet and rectangular channel at outlet with material drawing, article forming and gaging. At first half of deformation channel, material deformation at central area makes at least 80% while at peripheral zones it makes about 20% of total deformation over the entire deformation channel length. At remaining half of deformation channel length, along with transfer of material along channel length and reduction in peripheral area width and height, material volume is reduced in said areas relative to central area material volume by performing an inverse extruding to said central area. Proposed device comprises deforming element with shaped working channel with outlet section composed of gaging die. Shaped surface has horizontal and vertical mirror planes with their intersection making the channel axis. Distance between sections of both lines is constant to equal the height of rectangular gaging orifice. Every line of said intersection consists of two different-curvature parts to cross closed outline bulged elements the sections of which adjoining the horizontal mirror plane change over at working channel outlet in strength lengths with parallel vertical mirror, their maximum length plane being equal to the height of rectangular gaging orifice.
EFFECT: possibility of forming long-length sheets of plasticised powders with flawless and heterogeneous structure.
