FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention aims at reducing rolling force at hot rolling reversing mills of making strips from alloys of ferrous and nonferrous metals. Proposed method comprises strip reduction in rolls with application of specified front and rear stretch forced to the strip.
EFFECT: decreased rolling force and moment, rolls flexure and flattening owing to allowance for material yield point.
