FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: production of electrical strip steel with oxide coating is performed in a plant for continuous recrystallisation annealing; with that, first, a strip is heated and cooled in the heating and cooling zone of the plant, and then, it is supplied to the overageing zone. The strip is introduced from the overageing zone to the final cooling zone with the temperature of 450°C to 550°C; the above strip is treated in the final cooling zone by means of oxygen with concentration of 0.05% to 0.2%. With that, water dew point is set to the temperature below -10°C. Electrical strip steel is provided on the surface with an oxide layer containing more than 90% of Fe3O4; thickness of the oxide layer is less than or equal to 150 nm. The strip with the oxide coating is used for manufacture of charged packs of active steel plates isolated from each other and meant for stators and rotors of electric motors or generators.

EFFECT: creation in strip steel of a reliable insulating layer with improved monitoring properties.
