FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric tests for sensitivity to electromagnetic field of industrial frequency (EMIFF) of items of motor vehicles (MV) electrical equipment. The method to test items of electric equipment and/or MV electronic systems for sensitivity to EMIFF, consists in the fact that tested items are installed separately onto a test bench or into an MV board circuit, afterwards they are exposed to continuous action of EMIFF. The tested MV items in process of continuous action of EMIFF are exposed to a certain quantity of on/off cycles, which is selected from the formula.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to validly evaluate electromagnetic resistance of electric equipment items at the moment of their start.
