FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be applied for implantation of toric intraocular lenses. Laser coagulant, serving as control reference point, is preliminarily applied onto limbus in vessel-free zone in preoperative period by means of coagulating laser with green range wavelength. After that, strong axis of astigmatism is determined, for which purpose keratotopography is performed with obtaining keratogram, on which image of laser coagulant is fixed. After obtaining keratotopogram calculation of angle of position of strong axis of astigmatism from fixed image of laser coagulant is made preoperatively. Operation of toric intraocular lens implantation is performed. In the process of operation lens is turned and installed into its final position, oriented by placement of strong axis of astigmatism of intraocular length at the same angle to control reference point in form of laser coagulant as value of design angle of position of strong astigmatism axis from fixed image of laser coagulant on keratogram. After that lens fixation is performed.

EFFECT: method ensures correct and stable position of toric intraocular lens in the process of its implantation, maximally precise matching of intraocular lens axis with strong axis of astigmatism, simplification of surgery performance.
