METHOD FOR TWO-STAGE CORRECTION OF CORNEAL MYOPIC ASTIGMATISM WITH DUE REGARD TO CYCLOTORSION USING FEMTOSECOND LASER FOR PATIENTS WITH THIN CORNEA Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2630036 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: strong and weak axes of the cornea and projection of arc-shaped symmetrical, diametrically arranged incisions in the form of arches are sketched on the keratotopogram, then the strong and weak axes of the cornea are marked out using a corneal tap and dye in the vertical position of the patient's body behind the slit lamp, according to the keratotopogram marking. The patient is placed on the operating table, transfering into a horizontal position, the parameters of future arcuate incisions are introduced into the program of a femtosecond laser installation, the vacuum ring of a femtosecond laser is placed around the eye, the laser is coupled with the vacuum ring, the arches projected on the monitor, which correspond to the previously calculated and entered parameters, are aligned with the marking on the cornea and the incisions are made in the cornea by the femtosecond laser. The patient is transferred under the microscope eyepieces, the spatula is used to open the incisions, releasing the cavitation bubbles, the antibiotic is instilled, a soft contact lens is applied, after 3-6 months, the second stage of corneal astigmatism correction is performed using the method of personalized photorefractive keratectomy.

EFFECT: method allows to ensure the safety of the two-stage corneal myopic astigmatism correction with due regard to cyclotorsion with using a femtosecond laser in patients with a thin cornea, and to obtain the greatest possible visual acuity.
