SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for processing the internal surfaces of workpieces. The cutting tool contains a cutting plate (22), configured to be installed in two positions, clamped with the possibility of release in a transversely oriented seat (46) for the cutting plate, located on the holder (24). The holder (24) includes a forward insert mounting portion (32) comprising upper and lower jaws (34, 36) that together define a cutting plate socket (46) containing a front socket opening (52a). The lower jaw (36) contains the lower clamping surface (54) of the socket. The upper jaw (34) includes an upper socket clamping surface (60) facing the lower socket clamping surface (54), a socket locking surface (68) facing substantially the front socket opening (52a).
EFFECT: inner surface of the workpiece is processed.
