FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic flow meter of liquid metals comprises a pipe made of a non-magnet material, two electrodes, welded to the outer surface of the pipe, a C-shaped magnetic conductor with two pole tips and an inductance coil. In each pole tip there is a through transverse slot stretching from the edge of the pole tip to the place of its connection with the magnetic conductor. A transverse slot in the pole tip breaks contours of eddy currents and eliminates their impact at the flow measurement result.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of liquid metal flow measurement.
