FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to instrument making, namely, to equipment for measurement of liquid metal flow with the help of the method based on interaction of a moving liquid with a magnetic field. This interaction is subject to law of electromagnetic induction, according to which in the liquid crossing the magnetic field, electric field is induced, being the measure of the volume flow. The electromagnetic flow meter of liquid metals comprises a pipe made of non-magnetic material, two electrodes welded to the outer surface of the pipe, the magnetic conductor is made of a steel strip with thickness of at least 5 mm, width not less than the diameter of the pipe channel bent according to closed perimeter of the rectangle. The induction coil has a steel cylindrical core, which at one side is fixed to the magnetic conductor, and at the other one touches the outer surface of the pipe, besides, the axis of the core matches the axis of the induction coil, is perpendicular to the axis of the pipe and the line connecting electrodes.

EFFECT: increased sensitivity of a flow meter due to reduction of fields of magnetic field scattering.
