FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument engineering, in particular to the inducers of electromagnetic flowmeters of electrically conductive liquids. Inductor has two frameless induction coils, each of which is made in the form of an ellipse enveloping the tube. Moreover, the value of the axis of the middle wrap of the coil along the generating line of the pipe is equal to (0.5–0.6) of the pipe diameter, and the value of the axis of the middle wrap along the perimeter of the pipe is (1.0–1.2) of the pipe diameter. In addition, the inductor has a cylindrical magnetic circuit, the axis of which coincides with the axis of the pipe. Wall of the magnetic circuit has a thickness of at least 5 mm. There are two pole cores between the tube and the magnetic circuit, made of ferromagnetic steel in the form of ellipses enveloping the tube, corresponding in size to the free space of the internal cavities of the induction coils. Pole cores allow to reduce the size of the air gap along the magnetic field lines and thereby increase the intensity of the magnetic field in the channel, which accordingly increases the potential difference excited between the electrodes, for small values of the flow velocity.
EFFECT: optimization of the inductor design of the electromagnetic flowmeter.
