FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to ornithopters. Proposed method consists in rotary flapping motion of two wings creating lift in displacement from top point of rotation to bottom one. At said bottom point, wings are displaced inside rotary drives linear vertically upward to starting point of rotation without affecting lift development. Ornithopter consists of fuselage with landing gear and engine with reduction gears for sync opposite rotation of drives with wings. Said drives incorporate wing inclination drives to vary angle of attack so that wings are turned horizontally or at angle of attack to generate the lift, or displaced inside the rotary drives in appropriate guide to opposite top position.
EFFECT: higher speed and maneuverability.
