SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and system for preparing a single or double dose of coffee "espresso". The method of preparing coffee "espresso" lies in that the ground coffee is fed into the cooking chamber of the coffee-making machine "espresso", the first pressing of ground coffee is carried out by force of about 10-60 kg using a first seal. Then the second pressing of ground coffee is carried out by force of about 60-500 kg using the first seal and the heated water is passed forcedly under pressure through the ground coffee, thereby obtaining coffee "espresso".
EFFECT: inventions provide more efficient pressing, which maximises the extraction of ground coffee and improves the taste of the final beverage containing coffee "espresso".
