SUBSTANCE: method comprises (i) a step of preparing a solution or dispersion of a fluoropolymer (A), having fluoropolymer (A) dissolved or dispersed in a solvent (B), where solvent (B) contains a good solvent (B2), owing to which the swelling ratio of fluoropolymer (A) exceeds 50%; and the swelling ratio of fluoropolymer (A) in solvent (B) ranges from 50 to 1200%; and (ii) a step of mixing the solution or dispersion of fluoropolymer (A) with a solvent (C) in order to flocculate fluoropolymer (A) so as to form particles of fluoropolymer (A), where solvent (C) contains a weak solvent (Cl), owing to which the swelling ratio of fluoropolymer (A) is at most 50%; the swelling ratio of fluoropolymer (A) in the mixed solvent (BC) from solvents (B) and (C) ranges from 0 to 100%, the ratio (Wc/WB) of the weight (Wc) of solvent (C) to the weight (WB) of solvent (B) ranges from 1 to 5; and the ratio (SBc/SB) of the swelling ratio (SBC) of fluoropolymer (A) in the mixed solvent (BC) to the swelling ratio of fluoropolymer (A) in solvent (B) is at most 0.5.
EFFECT: method of producing fluoropolymer particles which prevents formation of fine particles.
