FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to orthopedic dentistry, and is intended for determination of individual topography of occlusion plane. Intermaxillary angle between lines, which represent projections of plane of upper jaw base between points Spa and Pm and plane of lower jaw body between points Me and Go is determined on head tomogram in sagittal projection. Line, tangent to articular tubercle clivus, is drawn. Line, which represents projection of occlusion plane, is determined by formula: angle, formed by occlusion plane projection and line, tangent to articular tubercle clivus- C=intermaxillary angle, where C is constant, equal 30 degrees.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine individual topography of occlusion plane and facilitate planning of orthopedic treatment of patients with dentition defects due to determination of dependence of intermaxillary angle and angle, formed by intersection of lines of occlusion plane and tangent line to articular tubercle clivus.
