FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: proper frontal height of face and new position of mandible are preliminarily determined by data of lateral teleroentgenogram. Obtained data are used to build new intermaxillary angle, to determine Xi point position. Straight line is built by division of intermaxillary angle in ratio 27:73 in such a way that it passes 0.72±0.7 mm higher than point Xi. Said straight line will represent projection of optimal occlusion plane.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase accuracy of determining optimal occlusion plane before orthodontic treatment, prosthetics, restoration of chewing surface of teeth in clinical situations, when patient has vertical abnormalities and impairment of frontal height of face, due to determination of new intermaxillary angle and building ideal occlusion plane.
