FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: incident angle of a slope of the temporo-mandibular articular tubercle and a slope of a palatal surface of an upper central cut are correlated by measuring the above slopes in sagittal projection on an X-ray image. A difference of the two measurements is determined. The mandibular dearticulation is stated if the studied value disagrees with the normal value of 8°±2°. According to the other version of the method, the slope of the temporo-mandibular articular tubercle and the slope of a palatal surface of an opposite upper central cut are correlated by measuring the above slopes in a frontal projection on an X-ray image. A difference of the two measurements is determined. The mandibular dearticulation is stated if the studied value disagrees with the normal value of 9°±2°.
EFFECT: invention enables extending the range of methods for additional diagnostic techniques of the mandibular dearticulation ensured by cephalometric analysis.
