FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: according to the method, items are submerged into pre-heated melt that does not contain any alkalies and that represents a salt solution containing the following, wt %: NaCl=20-30; CaCl2=80-70; after items are submerged into the salt solution, they are subject to rotation. The device includes a housing with a cover, in which a stock is fixed for suspension of cleaned items, which is kinematically connected to a device providing the stock rotation with rotation frequency of 50 rpm to 3000 rpm and made in the form of a gear motor. A cylindrical capacity with a conical bottom for salt melt is located inside the housing, and a capacity for lead collection is located under the above capacity and has a lead outlet hole and a gate valve, which are connected to each other by means of a channel. The device is also equipped with heating elements of capacities for salt melt and lead melt.
EFFECT: invention provides high-efficiency cleaning of surface of items from marks of lead melts without any corrosion damage of their surface; combining cleaning with heat treatment of the item material; improving reliability and durability of the device for cleaning of items from marks of lead melts.
