SUBSTANCE: ironing system comprises an iron having a handle and a sole, and a portable stand. The stand comprises a locking device for fixing the iron on the stand, so that when the iron is fixed on the stand, the ironing system is transported as a single unit due to retention of the iron by the handle. The locking device comprises the first and second engagement elements located on mutually opposite sides from the iron receiving area for interaction with the front and rear parts of the iron. At least one of the engagement elements is displaceable in a direction away from the other engagement element and returnable to the other engagement element. The displaceable engagement element is provided with a compression spring for maintaining the interaction force which is sufficient to secure the sole to the stand. At least one of the engagement elements has a shoulder made with the ability of attachment of the sole.
EFFECT: increased safety and convenience of securing iron on the stand.
