FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: reinforced concrete cross tie is made in the form of reinforced bar with cross-section varying along its length. Cross tie features end sections (1), rail fastening sections (2), and sections (3) of conjunction with middle section (4) which is more narrow than other sections. Cross-section of middle section (4) has trapeze form, while rail fastening sections (2) have their slanting facets (5) and (6) connected to each other. Facets (5) form facets of respective end sections (1), while sections (3) of conjunction with middle section (4) have facets (7) and (8) slanted against horizontal plane. Facets (7) of sections (3) are connected to facets (6) of rail fastening sections (2). Material consumption for reinforced concrete cross tie is reduced, and operational properties of cross tie are improved.
EFFECT: high-speed traffic of passenger and freight trains.
