INTERMEDIATE FASTENING OF RAIL Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; permanent way. SUBSTANCE: proposed rail fastening contains elastic gasket and rail base-plate installed in recess of tie, bolts installed at both sides of rail and passed through holes in reinforced concrete tie, nuts with elastic members and pressure devices pressed to upper surfaces of rail foot. Head of bolt is made in form of eye, being conjugated with body through section of stepped form. Stepped part in zone of rail foot is made eccentrically relative to bolt axis and coaxially with eye and is provided with symmetrical side faces adjoining symmetrical chamfers made in base of eye. Wedge-like pressure device is pressed through said eye whose arch-shaped surface corresponds to shape of wedge surface conjugated with eye. Hole in zone of nut is made for enclosing , the nut, and rail baseplate and recess in tie are made in form of trapezium. EFFECT: improved reliability of fastening, increased service life, improved anticreeping characteristics. 4 dwg
